In this period, I am struggling with interviews.
I spent a long time consulting, which took off all of my energies, mainly wasted to deal with the owner’s bad temper.
Nowadays, I am still consulting for a different company, and I am struggling with interviews.
It’s a jungle out there. Despite the Industry you are working for, sometimes I think that this virus went to the head of some!
Lately, I have come to the following conclusions.
It’s not a good idea to show up late without apologizing.
It’s not a good idea not to smile during an interview.
It’s not a good idea to neglect your grooming when you know you have an interview.
It’s not a good idea to come unprepared for an interview.
It’s not a good idea not to pay attention during the interview and repeat five times the same question.
It’s not a good idea to look down on your interlocutor during an interview.
It’s not a good idea not to drop a line when you said you would have, right after an interview. And yes, one month later is already too late!
It’s not a good idea even when you are the interviewer, and I am just the applicant!
“After careful consideration, I have decided that I will not be moving forward with your company”.
[The facts mentioned above happened in real life, only my answer has been more diplomatic!]
#respect don’t forget that #interviews are a #two-ways-process
Agreed! Completely!
Thank you, my dear
Sorry you had to deal with such rudeness! At least you know you would not have wanted to work for them.
Thank you Rebecca. Uh, that was clear since the very first time. Sometimes I think I should trust my instinct more than I usually do
Trusting your instincts is important. 🙂
Yes, always 💪😊
I quite like your answer. Even better would be: “After careful consideration I have made an executive decision not to move forward with your company”. 😀 😀
🤣🤣 They made me call from a fourth person, not aware of all the messes they already did. I have been polite with him but they don’t deserve anything.
