Montecalvello – Sparrows

Besides the fact that Manja and me used to visit unknown and hidden places there is another story to tell: the pleasure of waiting!

I like to arrive before others to take the time to observe and enjoy what surrounds me.

In the case of Montecalvello, my waiting has been entertained by a bunch of sparrows flying paround and singing out loud!

It has been a tough exercise to detect them as they were much more distant than what it could seem by this photos.

They were also perfectly camouflaging among these ancient walls, that shelter any sort of life.

Travelling is useless if one is not able to look around and appreciate small things. Of course, this is only my humble opinion.

  1. Ooo! Birds really like your company. πŸ™‚ They seem so at ease and don’t mind your presence at all. Of course, when I arrived, I haven’t spotted a single bird. πŸ˜€ I just laughed so much that I had to cry and then I only had eyes for the doors, hihihi.

    1. Let’s say I don’t make noise and try not to bother them. I just love to see them hanging around! Yes, I have laughed so much! I miss our getaways ❀️

  2. These are great! And you’re absolutely right: those little birds fit in perfectly with the color of the walls. This looks like an enchanting place to visit. I’ll put it on my list for my next visit to Italy..
