Ostia – Dawn at the Beach

The lock down has been loosen and I have gone straight to beach today.

It was very early this morning.

I went away as soon as people started arriving.

It was so peaceful and calm.

Unfortunately the risk of contagion is not over yet and I do not even dare to imagine what it will happen in the next days!

I will keep on avoiding going out if it is not necessary but this morning it has been the best moment in 2 months!

Stay safe!

  1. Yeahh, you went! I haven’t been anywhere with the car in two months. I could walk to the beach, I suppose, but my feet would protest. Today it’s a beautiful day. <3 I’m glad you had a peaceful beautiful stroll.

    1. Yes, but just because it’s very close from were I live. You are much more fat away, don’t make useless efforts. Take care of yourself💪

  2. What a breath of fresh air to get out to the beach and such beautiful photos. 🙂
We are still in strict lockdown and beaches closed, so I envy you your freedom, but agree with still keeping your distance! 🙂
    Keep Safe. 😀

    1. Thank you so much. Yes, at 7am I was already at home. It seems that at 8 the streets were already crowded and at 10 they looked as the Rio Carnival 🤦🏻‍♀️😤 that means it is the opposite of what we were supposed to do. Unfortunately every country has its dose of idiots! Where do you live? Yes, I’ll stay safe, keep on wearing my mask and only get out at dawn. It’s worth the sacrifice and I don’t mean to take any stupid risks 💪💪

      1. People really need to get out to exercise, but spread out over the day.
Here in South Africa, we’ve just had 5 weeks of complete Lockdown – not allowed out for exercise. They have just eased it a little – so you can exercise within 5 km of your home, between 6 am and 9 am. But it is still dark in Cape Town till about 7.30 am, so it ends up with lots of people all out at the same time! Face masks are mandatory, and 2m social distancing etc.
Well, at least I could enjoy Your trip to the beach! Thank you 😀

  3. Isn’t it great to be on the shore after this lockdown! Great, but also dangerous. I had the same feeling, when we after seeing only our yard for a long time, drove to a forest. Walking there, listening birds singing, the feeling of being free.
    Stay safe!

    1. It’s so true Kristiina 😊 I have been waiting for today since 2 months and in order to stay safe I went there very early. I live very close to the beach but until yesterday it was highly forbidden to get there also for residents. It has been like a gift, indeed 😍 I only hope it will last because here people is acting like beasts out of the cages🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. Beautiful photographs! And yes, a breath of fresh air for us all, coming so slowly out of lockdown (we hope to continue to advance but it all depends on people following the rules.) Thanks for these.
