Ostia – Quarantine with the Birds (Part 2)

While WP and the assistance of my new serve keep on driving me mad, sabotaging my blog, not fixing bug and deleting pictures I resist my way!

I am very mad in this moment because every day I discover that lots of posts have not migrated correctly.

I hadn’t a bake up for the simple reason that this blog was my back up.

I couldn’t rely on my pc nor my mobile and I naively thought that they were safe here!

But life do not always comes up like we wanted…

This lock down is the proof on a macro scale.

I promise I won’t give up on you, I will resist despite the technological sabotage and whatever it occurs in my private life!

I managed to enjoy the lock down, thanks to these amazing birds…

Somehow I will find a way to fix the damaged posts and when not possible I will try to replace them in the future, little by little…💪

  1. Hi. Great pictures but I am very sorry to hear about your website problems. Is this to do with the hacking of WP websites running the OneTone theme I have been reading about? Hopefully your annoyance and frustration are only temporary.

    1. Hi Charlie, I was about to email you. Sincerely I don’t know what is going on. I only know that at least half of this blog is gone for ever! We had started with some minor issues and bug on December when I decided migrating but enough is enough! This is a complete mess and I am so frustrated in this moment… The only thing that I can do is to delete the damaged posts and turn the page😠😭🤦🏻‍♀️😤🤯😒😡😠

      1. Can the WP support forums be of any help? I think I understand now how it has vanished but as to why, I really don’t know. Losing work is a nightmare!

        1. I am afraid it’s too late now because I have just suppressed the original blog. All the photos were perfectly visible until the other day. The rage is slowly vanishing. I am accepting what I cannot change, but I am still a little bit pissed off🤦🏻‍♀️😤

  2. I’m so sorry to see all your troubles with this transfer. 🙁 But I know your spirit and know that you’ll never give up! <3 And we will be right here for you. Nature is always the best for grounding us. Without my daily walks with bestia I’d go mad for sure. Happy May the First and all the rest of May!

  3. I’m so sorry to hear this! Technology issues can be so bad. I wish you well with all the sorting and retrieval.

These are great photos, especially the first one. 🙂

  4. I’m so sorry you’re having trouble but I appreciate this wonderful and beautiful post of glorious birds. I just love what you’re doing.

    1. Thank you so much my dear. I am only sorry for all those people who had linked some posts and now they are gone. But shit happens and most of the time we cannot foresee it coming. I will try to post more pictures of this kind🤗💪

  5. I don’t have a blog, but am quite the ardent supporter and participant in discussions…. I too don’t get certain blogs delivered, can’t even sign in, am asked to sign in even though my icon is showing up on the right hand upper corner. It’s very annoying and a great loss of time and energy.

    1. Hi Kiki, I went on your Flickr account and I have to say that I really love your photos. Congratulations 😍 I used to have a Flickr account as well but I quit it a long time ago. I like blogging and sincerely losing all of my work and photos for someone else’s fault is something that I had never contemplated. Maybe I have been too naive, maybe they are just not able to do their work. I have decide to turn the page now but, because it’s something that I cannot change. I don’t want to intoxicate my life after that but should I recommend a migration… Nope, no way!!!

  6. I have thought a few times about changing things on my blog, but I’m not great on the technical side and not sure if I would manage to keep it the way I want. WordPress seem to have their own agenda, and of course, all the problems that go with being such a huge organisation. So sorry that you’ve lost work, Flavia. That really hurts!

    1. Thank you so much Joe. I am trying to restore all that I can. Luckily that I am stubborn, otherwise I would have already give up on everything!💪☺️
