Castel Sant’Angelo is an ancient construction located in the heart of Rome.
Originally meant as a Mausoleum for Hadrian and his family, with the time it has beem transformed into a Fortress, a Prison, a Private Renaissance Residence nowadays it is a Museum! What remains of its long history is an amazing building, unique in its beauty.
Here are some windows with their original shapes and mix of architecture.
Very nice! One day I hope to visit Rome ❤
I hope that it will be very soon
A very long-lived and beautiful building. 🙂
Yes, it has a very peculiar history, how many buildings in the world had have the same path? ☺️
I have never been to Italy.
Matchlessly beautiful country, but also hopelessly crowded. Almost anyone wants to see those ancient stones that are still alive to this day 🙂
It is a unique feature of Rome. We need to go back. But sincerely, I want to go off-season. And the problem is that my wife’s main vacations are in July… Well, we’ll find a way. Are you back permanently in Italy?
Nope, it is just an extremely long break because I am having some interviews here
PS. And the details you took are great. Another vision of that monument… Thank you merci grazie for sharing.
You’re very welcome. By the way if you could avoid the month of July it will be better but you already know that😉
Great atmospheric images.. I can smell the food
Regards Thom
Thank you Thom ☺️
