Everybody knows Fiumicino because of its intercontinental airport but of course it takes its name from the village…
I have never loved it, I have always find it fairly shabby and I still think it is. 
But recently they have finished the works at the dock and I think they have made a very good job.
I wish they could do the same with the entire village and bring it to the high standards of the airport, that from several year is considered the best hub of Europe!
It was a cloudy day when I took these photos, I really enjoyed this stroll and I hope you did it too.
