I am so fed up to read bad and unfair reviews on hotel breakfasts.

This absolutely cannot be the case of Cumberland Hotel in London. High quality level and plenty of choice. Good job, guys!

I love English breakfast and I do prefer salted food rather than sweet. An example over all: Marmite! I remember when 20 years ago they forecasted the advertising on TV and said that I you could eat it you had definitely became British! Well, I never will but I have always loved it!

During fair days you finally have an excuse to eat like this, because you actually don’t know when and if you will eat again during your busy day!

And yes, it has been crazy but it has been a pleasure to participate!

I’ll have to mention the best American coffee and scrumbled eggs I will ever had!

  1. Flavia, it’s good to know you’ve found a decent English Breakfast, one of the cornerstones of British cuisine. The problem is it’s all too often relegated to a breakfast buffet where the quality of produce and cooking can be a bit hit and miss. Par contre, you’ll often find excellent examples at smaller hotels and B&Bs where it’s cooked to order.

    1. Hi Sheree, I do prefer small hotels as well but this time it was not my call and you know what? I prefer English food than French one! It is a matter of taste, don’t ask me why! 😂

  2. We have had breakfasts of all sorts from awful to divine; but as you say, you know when you have found one that deserves to be called an English cooked breakfast!
